OHGA is founded upon 15+ years of highly credible global consortia through various existing platforms including the International Congress on Pathogens at the Human Animal Interface (ICOPHAI) since 2011; One Health Eastern Africa Research Training (OHEART) program since 2011; Global One Health Summer Institute (GOHSI) since 2012; platforms including Global One Solutions, LLC (Ohio, USA) and MEKARI Global One Ltd ( Nairobi, Kenya).

OHGA brings together a vast global membership of more than 11,000 including 1,200 ICOPHAI members across 89 countries and 324 institutes.
